My name is Dominica Warburton, my husband and I have been happily married for thirteen years and we have a gorgeous nine-year-old daughter who is full of fun and has a real enjoyment for life.
I live in Lewes, East Sussex where we are renovating our house - it's a slow process! I enjoy walking, cycling, going to the theatre, reading, aerobics and vegetarian cookery. I love being a mum and feel truely blessed to have such a lovely family.
As your Birth Doula I am here to help you and to serve your needs both prior to and during your birth, and as your Postnatal Doula to care for you and your new baby in a positive and empowering way that will give you confidence as a new parent, whether it is your first baby or subsequent birth.
I want to inspire you with confidence as you begin this journey of parenthood, to encourage you to believe that you will be a wonderful parent to your child.
Our relationship will be based on trust. I will be coming into your life at a momentous and extremely vulnerable time, it is so important for everyone involved in the birth to trust each other, as it can affect the outcome of your birth either negatively or positively.
I am a qualified Birth Doula and Postnatal Doula. I have completed a training course with Valerie Goedkoop of NurturingBirth, and I am registered with Doula UK. I have also attended a Birthlight Conference where I had the opportunity to hear experts such as Michel Odent, Ina May Gaskin, Gowri Motha and Frederick Leboyer speak on all aspects of childbirth. I have attended an advancedbreastfeeding course run by Lyn Scazafabo and also an advanced Birth course run by Valerie Goedkoop of Nurturing Birth.
I have postnatal experience with twins, having worked with three sets of twins.
I hope to undertake a Baby Massage course soon so that I can incorporate that into my Postnatal Doula services.
